During my sessions of Personal Training, I was amazed by the progress. I honestly couldn't believe that being consistent and doing what seems like simple movements at the box and at home could bring me so far. The coaches at CrossFit Eudokia focus more on doing the movements correctly and that CrossFit is for everybody which has helped me in believing in myself.
I started at CrossFit Eudokia a little over 2,5 years ago. Before this I started here, I did several things such as fitness, running and boxing, but it never challenged me enough. CrossFit was always in the back of my head, but I was too afraid to start. I always thought that I wasn't strong or fit enough for it. Until I walked by CrossFit Eudokia, decided to give it a go and Meyken was there to answer all my questions. The rest is history and I'm happy to have made this decision. The coaches at CrossFit Eudokia focus more on doing the movements correctly and that CrossFit is for everybody which has helped me in believing in myself.
During the first few lessons I was still pretty nervous but soon I found out that the weightlifting part of CrossFit came easier to me than the other parts of the workouts. I'm still amazed by how heavy I can lift sometimes and that you can improve your personal records simply by showing up and keep on pushing yourself during the workouts. However, CrossFit is more than lifting weights and I had to improve my gymnastics skills as well in order to become a better CrossFit athlete.
That's why I decided to start Personal Training with Meyken to specifically focus on pull-ups. At first, I wasn't sure what PT would bring me. Not that I thought of myself as a lost cause, but I really thought that it would take a long time before I was able to do pull-ups with minimal to none bands. My first 8 sessions were hard. It involved more than only doing pull-ups. We were doing exercises to help build more muscles which are needed to perform the pull-up movement but also exercises to improve my posture which helped me during the day to day workouts but also in my day to day life.
I was amazed by the progress. I honestly couldn't believe that being consistent and doing what seems like simple movements at the box and at home (my homework) could bring me so far. I didn't have to think long about it, I signed up for another 8 lessons, again with amazing progress! So of course, we have started another 8 sessions 😀. I'm really looking forward to th efuture and to see what the progress will be!
I can definitely recommend Personal Training at CrossFit Eudokia to everyone. Meyken really takes the time to understand what you would like to work on, and carefully thinks of a plan how to get you there. She makes a tailored plan for everyone based on your needs but also based on what is good for your body. The PT sessions did not only help me with the pull-ups, but also improved my overall performance during the workouts and my posture during my day to day life.
