Training at CrossFit Eudokia helped us complete the Nijmegen 4Days Marches!
The 4Days Marches are a genuine challenge for any athlete: Four consecutive days of walking 30, 40 or 50 km, depending on your gender and age. Taking part in the world's biggest walking event demands intense physical preparation and a strong mindset. Training at CrossFit Eudokia helped us achieve just that.
CrossFit delivers a range of benefits for long-distance walkers. The all-round training that CrossFit offers strengthens not only your leg muscles but also your torso. This helps maintain good posture while walking, even when you grow tired. In addition, regular high-intensity exercise boosts your capacity for quick recovery, which is key when participating in a four-day event.
Mindset-wise, working out at CrossFit Eudokia also made us more resilient. The coaching team taught us how to keep going when you get exhausted and feel like giving up. And the support from the coaches as well as from our fellow athletes made it a fun adventure for us to take on!
